Derrick returns from injury against the Magic

Wednesday, 04.08.15

Derrick Rose scored 9 points in 19 minutes in his return from his latest knee injury. Despite his efforts, the Bulls lost to the Magic 105-103 on a last second shot by Victor Oladipo. When asked about the game Rose said, “I’m just happy to be playing. It’s not one thing. The shots I put up, I felt they were good shots, hard shots, and I’m more concerned with us losing more than anything.” The good news for the Bulls and for Rose is that he said he didn’t feel any discomfort in his surgically repaired right knee, and showed flashes of his explosive athleticism, like in the highlight below. “I felt good,” Rose said. “I didn’t feel any discomfort at all, so that’s a good sign. Now I have to see how tomorrow is.” Derrick will continue to play limited minutes as the Bulls take on the Heat, in a game they must win to hold on to the 3 seed in the East.
